‘Nameless yet her Heart is like the Waters of the Sea’ is an interdisciplinary work born from an imagined encounter with the spirit of a forgotten Fante woman, Lua Shayenne’s ninth-generation ancestor, taken from Saltpond, Ghana and lost to the transatlantic slave trade. Through vocal soundscape, song, live music, dance, and text, Lua gives voice to ancestral stories while tracing the threads of her family’s memory.

LSDC is currently developing this work, presenting in-studio showings along the way. The full-length work will be ready to premiere in 2028.
