MOTHERLAND is a contemporary dance-theatre work rooted in West African traditions, Akan cosmology, and African spiritual perspectives onwomen as the origin of life and cosmic order, inspired by Bahá’í reflections on ego and the evolution of consciousness. Across four chapters, Origin (Earth), Rebellion (Fire), Rebirth (Water), and Evolution (Wind), the work moves from creation through disintegration, toward renewal and the possibility of reimagining our shared future.

LSDC is currently developing MOTHERLAND, presenting exciting excerpts and in-studio showings along the way. The full-length dance-theatre work will be ready to premiere in 2027.
